Tallinn, Estonia November 2006

This was my first ever trip to Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. I went to meet my old friend after 10 years of not seeing each other :) It was a very nice experience for me.

In the following picture you can see the downtown (old Tallinn) from a hilltop!
The weather was a little gloomy and foggy, but I tried my best to capture the feel of this city.

The old houses in Tallinn are very pretty, many are colored yellow, pink and even blue!

This must be opera hause!

This street had an eerie feeling. It was completely devoid of people, no tourists as well. Very medieval looking... cobblestone everywhere (If your ever go to Tallinn, wear comfortable shoes, no high heals!!)

Many many towers, this is just one of them...

Tallinn is an amazing mix of old and modern.

I found that Tallin is very similar to Riga in its architecture.

I had the honour to meet the painter himself in his cozy underground cellar :)

Tallinn has many suveneer shops. The tourist crowds are countless too!

These walls and towers are hundreds and hundreds of years old...

Spring is in the air. Forget it`s November! These two next pictures remind me on the shots of Ireland or England... The green grass, the fog...

I think this is my favorite picture! Makes one feel like its some medieval moment frozen in time.

Cute polar bear!
