Angel is 9+ months!!...and her first winter :)

After a long and tiring day...zzzzzzzz

Lexi took her first steps at 8 months and 3 weeks or so and now, after a month, she is walking and even running everywhere! I am so proud of her, I just can't help it :))

She got her first shoes from Clark's too and has learned how to walk in them. There is no challenge big enough for her :)

Mommy, mommy, where is my porridge?! If you don't get it for me quickly, I will eat you instead! See, who can run faster...

Lexi has got her own phone after I got a new one, but, guess what, she wants the new one now!

Who is daddy's girl??

These days Lexi is in to buttons- turning things on and off all the time.

Sweety is ill, high fever and stuffy nose... no energy for any of the naughty stuff :(

One fine day we woke up to see snow everywhere! And that's in London!!! Four days later and it is still here, which is quite unusual. I remember last winter when the snow came and went within 2-3 hours. It is lovely but gets old quite quickly because pushing the buggy on the snowy roads is almost painful, and the greyness of the sky combined with +/- 0 C dampness is not very stimulating. No wonder we have a second cold in 2 weeks :))

We can't recognize our good old park anymore!
People were quick to seize the opportunity!

Here also!!

Perfect example of what winter in London looks like...

The snow is melting before it has had a change to hang around for a while :))

I am so happy that she finally started eating yogurt :)

Lexi enjoying her newfound skill!

Alexandra walking at 8 months 3 weeks!

A few days later and she is able to cross the room without falling! We have a wunderkind on our hands :)

She is a stubborn little girl and keeps practising until she is happy with the result! What's next?

Mamas & Papas

I posted a review on Mamas & Papas website which was not very flattering to their service, and it was removed shortly after appearing there. I emailed them and am awaiting an answer from their customer service- quite curious about what they will say. The email I received after writing the review is pasted below. Makes you think twice about buying from them again. I am not happy at all. If they sell used/returned items online they should at least make people aware of what they are buying.

Thanks Customer,

Your participation is very important to us. Thank you for taking the time to write a review on Zest Highchair - The Colour Bunch. Your review is now live on our site.
Your review:
I like this highchair- it is sturdy, solid and relatively easy to clean, although, definitely on the big side. The green tray is not so easy to remove, but the skill comes with experience. Baby feels comfortable in it, but it can be difficult to reach things on the tray if the baby is on the small side. The storage basket underneath is a very good feature, we keep all the bibs and muslins in there. My daughter is 8.5 months now and I have removed the straps, as it is nearly impossible for her to get out of the chair by herself, so I deemed it unnecessary to keep them on. The only complaint is with Mamas and Papas service- we bought it from the website and picked it up in the store. When we unpacked the highchair it was clearly a returned item- there were bits of food stuck to it. We would have preferred to have a brand new product for our baby or at least to be informed about its condition.

UPDATE

Mamas & Papas called me after I contacted them via website and offered to exchange the chair. I said it was OK, no need as we've been using it for a couple of months now. So instead they sent me £30 giftcard. The lady was very courteous and assured me that this does not happen routinely that they would sell used/returned items. I am very pleased with how things turned out!

At home, Oct-Nov 2010

It was Lexi's second visit to Latvia (first time she was still in my tummy) and she seemed to thoroughly enjoy it.

Mom mom was very happy when we got refused the flight back to London and had to delay our return by 2 weeks. It gave her a chance to play with her granddaughter for a bit longer...

Lexi's cozy cage. Luckily she did not mind being restrained this way :)

New boyfriend from Germany. She will have a hard time choosing once she is a bit older!

She cried at the first sight of her grandfather but in just a couple minutes she was all over him, plucking his moustache and trying to poke his eyes out or play (read: break) his glasses.

Lexi's uncle... She had a good time being admired... which leads to babies being spoiled, of course.

Half an hour carrying her on my back and it was breaking in pieces. I thought it was easier!

My friend Inara with her daughter :)
