Latvia spring 2014 (April-May)

 At home- eating lollies (naughty grandmom!)

The beauty of spring!

================================================
And now we ventured to the Rabbit town not far from Kekava. Tons of fun for kids, a bit less for us- adults, who were not so immune to the freezing wind!

=================================
Another day- another trip. This time to Tervete!

A lot of changed have been made since I had been there with my school class (like a hundred years ago!). Fun things for kids to explore, climb (I had to go through all the nooks and crannies myself too).

A cafe where Lexi went mental- shouting obscenities in the presence of all the lovely, docile latvian families.

And ice cream of course.

=============================================

Now this time we went to Sigulda. Another famous and beautiful place- Gauja National park in Latvia.

Ahh, the spring is in the air!

Oh so tired....

Finally we found the cable tramway and this is a view from the inside of it.

================================================

Riga Zoo. Another freaking cold and windy day!

===========================================

Back home-- two lovely girls. So pleasant and well behaved. :)

The rug was certainly in need of removing and shaking....

======================================

On a ship with my friend Inara and her daughter Maria. Had an hour long ride around the Zaku island and enjoyed some memorable views,

The Castle of Light (???!!! Say what?)- the controversial new-built library.

And ice cream again- a proper rip off if you ask me (3 euros each!).

Afterwards we spent some time on the shores of Baltic sea. Kids had a splash in the water until some random man pointed out that Alice is shaking like a leaf. That meant it is time to wrap them up and go home. :)

Inara- in all her beauty :)

If I could just remember to keep the horizon straight! haha
